About Waldo
Established in 1992, Waldo Gallery is a renowned fine arts gallery that has built a reputation for excellence in the art world. Its founder, Ronald Wilson, has emerged as a leading figure in the industry after completing his undergraduate and graduate education at Howard University and Southeastern University, respectively. Following his studies, he was encouraged by the late Adolphus Ealey, the former curator and director of the Barnett-Aden Collection, to pursue art and create works of his own. Since then, Ronald has gained much recognition in the art world as a published artist, and his works have been featured in numerous exhibitions across the Washington, DC area.
Joining Ronald in his venture is his daughter, Alexandra, who boasts an impressive academic background in Art History, having graduated from Bryn Mawr College. Her certification from the Sotheby's Art Institute in London, England, has further equipped her with invaluable knowledge and expertise in the field. As the Managing Director of Waldo Gallery, she has been instrumental in the gallery's success.
Ronald's impressive portfolio of work has been featured in several exhibitions, including those sponsored by his alma mater, Howard University, and Lexus of Bethesda, Maryland, as well as the Washington Gas Corp, Pepco Holdings, Inc.
With over three decades of experience attending lectures, exhibitions, and studying the history of art, Waldo Gallery has become a household name in the industry. The gallery prides itself on its ability to lift the viewer to a higher dimension and facilitate the world's creative, emotional, and social growth. As an advocate for the arts, Waldo Gallery believes that art is the soul of life.
